BMW 5 Series G30 LED Dynamic Active Ambient Light
You need to do the coding to activate the ambient light menu of the car, you can ask a professional BMW coder to code ambient light menu out, or use OBD to do the coding. You can do the coding before you install our product.
To use our OBD to do the coding, you need to register a Wechat account (Wechat is an app similar with Whatsapp if you haven’t heard it before); After you login Wechat, please scan below QR code to add our staff and send your order ID to our staff, we will send you a QR code for coding.
When you are ready for coding, turn on the ignition on the car (don’t turn on Engine, just ignition on to have power on car), plug the OBD box to car OBD port, then follow below instruction to do the coding.
After coding the menu out, you can do the installation.
Need to test the light colors before installing everything back, especially red, green, blue 3 colors. Below is the wiring layout, if light strip is too long, can cut in any length.

Below is the bracket installation picture for car without original ambient light
Installation instructions for car with original ambient light, then insert the ultra-thin light strip directly into this slot
Master control box bypass to the socket under idrive knob
Door module wiring connect to the red and brown wires of the window lift motor plug, exit the original pin and transfer the pin
If you need dynamic function or if there’s some problem of the light strip, need to use Wechat mini program to set. First, download the Wechat app and register an account, then scan the QR code below (you can find it in master control box too), then connect bluetooth in mini program(Need to enable Bluetooth authorization for the wechat) and set related function for the car. The mini program only have Chinese version now, if you need help, please contact with our staff or use google translate to translate it.
After connecting to Bluetooth, enter the settings; set the door order for the slave box pairing, then the welcome mode will be available. The following video includes the setup tutorial for the welcome mode and troubleshooting methods.
The light strip in the middle of the car door should be hidden in the recess of the electroplated strip, and several clips at the back of the electroplated strip need to be cut off.
